Our Aussie-Irish family have no sooner left Australia than they are up (with jet-lag) at 4.30 am (and -1 degrees),skyping their classmates in Australia. Aren't we lucky living in this global village where we can stay in touch with the click of a mouse! Enjoy the trip!
We certainly are lucky ! Our students will never experience what used to be called the 'Tyranny of distance'. Lovely to stay in touch whilst so far away. This sort of thing is why I like technology - it's ability to connect us . Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mrs Coffa. We can maintain and build relationships through technology in a global way. I wonder, with this increased capacity, can we embrace diversity through understanding and build a more harmonious world? How we connect now may plant the seeds for the future.
ReplyDeleteWas lucky enough to be in with the Preps when they skyped. They all looked pretty awake at 4am then!! Well done

Yes we do live in a global village where tech does bridge the gap with our communication.
ReplyDeleteCheck out theglobalclassroomproject.wordpress.com/ for opportunities to connect with other classrooms who have similar global outlook of the world.
