An article in the Age last week attracted our attention as we considered travel in space. Listen to our views about the possibility of mining the moon!
"Cosmic quarries: a new frontier for mineral exploration"
What wonderfully presuasive arguments you have presented! Well done. I agree that we should leave the moon alone. Did you know that the moon controls the tides? So if they mined it, maybe the tides would be affected! What will they suggest next? Sonya
Wonderfully, convincingly argued everyone. I like the references to history, in the landing on the moon, and to environmental concerns. Also it's good to remind us where else the money could be spent. I am sure there are people on Earth who could better do with that money. Interesting that all six of you were in agreement. Very pleased to see that the article attracted such interest from such an interesting group of students! Well done.
Hi Bridie Smith, I am on of the students who did a mini presentation on here. I'm glad that you enjoyed our persuasive text, which everyone's had different and powerful arguments. It's something that we all didn't want, so it is interesting that we all thought the same. Thanks for visiting our blog, we loved that you came!
I really enjoyed watching all those videos they where really power full writing.Who knows maybe the government might look at it and change there mind. from ateil
Hi Senior MY, These are some great examples of persuasive text related to mining the moon. Each of you were able to articulate your beliefs. Well done! Mrs David
I loved your speeches about us to mine on the moon but I think we should because what if we find something that can change the future maybe we can have flouting cars or stronger materials but it is sort of bad because what if we destroy it then we will have no moon

Hi Aziino,
DeleteThanks for the lovely comment, I see what you mean there. It can lead to a good future, but it may not. So will we take the risk?
