CAN YOU HELP US LEARN ABOUT THE WEATHER and TEMPERATURE IN PARTICULAR?
Welcome to all "friends of the Middle Matters!" We are back to school here in Australia on Monday 6th February. Most of us will have had quite a few trips to the beach during the summer break-our long holiday! We have had temperatures of 30C on many days. Wonderful!
What's it like where you are in the world today? Can you tell us the temperature (day and night) and how it feels and looks outside. What are you wearing? Looking forward to another year in the "global classroom!"
Hello from the Newcastle in the UK.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here today about -4.5C as I drive in and we expect just to break. 0c later.
All caused by the easterly winds coming from Russia.
Ciao for now
Thanks Darren,
DeleteYou are our first comment for 2012! Your reply will help kick off our learning about temperature next week.
A nice footnote for you is that my Geordie father- in -law came from Newcastle and my own children all are supporters of the Australian Rules Football black and white team-Collingwood!!!!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteIt's been in the high 60's F several days this week but today being the weekend (Saturday) here it is cool and rainy at 46 F. It's suppose to be cloudy and rainy for several days with temperature low's over the next few days around 30/32 F. We've had a fairly mild winter so far here in North Carolina, USA. It's only been really cold once and we haven't had snow here in the Piedmont. The mountain area has gotten colder and had some snow.
Hello Middles! WELCOME BACK! It's good to have you back in the blogosphere - I've learned so much about the world in this first year of blogging, and I've missed reading about what's happening down under over the last 6 weeks!
ReplyDeleteWell here in North Yorkshire, in the UK, we had about 4-5cm of snow overnight on Saturday, and temperatures were down to -5C, but today (Sunday) the sun came out and most of the snow thawed. It's been bright, frosty and beautiful, just a few degrees C above zero.
Our classroom is very cold on a Monday morning as the heating only goes on at 8am, and the cold weather is set to stay with us for a few more days yet!
It's thermal underwear time here in the UK!
